ENSCO DS-5

Proceanic Ltd. of Houston, TX carried out the initial part of an ABS UWILD inspection on the ENSCO Drillship DS-5. The DS-5 is a 750’x137.8’x62.3’ DPS-3 drillship, classed by ABS. This inspection was completed using a VideoRay PRO4 ROV fitted with a hull crawler attachment. The inspection was limited to visual only; no thickness gauging was carried out.

Two ABS Surveyors were present to witness the inspection. The Aft Thrusters (3 total), several seachests, several overboards and the moonpool structure were credited.
