Boomvang Spar

Proceanic, Ltd. (Houston, TX) carried out an inspection of the moonpool for the Anadarko Boomvang spar located offshore Gulf of Mexico. This inspection was completed using a VideoRay PRO4 ROV with General Visual Inspection (GVI), Cathodic Potential (CP Probe), Flooded Member Detection (FMD), and a Nitrogen Hose Stinger for airing up of buoyancy cans.

Buoyancy cans, riser stems and air filling lines of the five (5) production risers were inspected. FMD gauging of chamber 1 and 2 of all five (5) buoyancy cans was performed. Air up of chambers 3, 4, 5, and 6 of all five (5) buoyancy cans was also performed.
